Whenever I get really extra anxious, I listen to Thomas’ cover of Breathin’ and when I can’t listen to it, I start singing it so it will get stuck in my head because it’s so calming. Sometimes I imagine that it’s Virgil singing it to me, which yeah that may sound silly to you, but he is a big source of comfort and safety to me.
Not silly at all, that song is so calming to me. I’ve done similar things, like pretending its Virgil walking me through breathing exercises rather than just myself. It’s really comforting in times of need.
It’s nice to know I’m not alone in that. I often do that as well, mostly with the breathe in for 4 seconds, hold your breath for 7 seconds and breathe out for 8 seconds one, because I can imagine his voice in my head saying it.

Yeah same. I named one of my stuffed animals after Patton (yes I am an adult who has stuffed animals) because sometimes Patton is what I need to be comforted by at that moment.
I named my stuffed shark Joan of Shark because I feel like they’d be very helpful in a moment of panic and I oftentimes get bad anxiety at night.
