Everything is 158% more scientific when you’re wearing a lab coat. Trust me, I’m a scientist.
My chemistry teacher usually wouldn’t wear his lab coat when doing experiments but once we were doing a flashy one outside just as class was ending and he was actually wearing it for once and a student from another class walked past us and screamed HE’S WEARING HIS LAB COAT at which the audience tripled at least with random people walking past because clearly this was actual dramatic science instead of him just doing the reactions all science teachers do like elephant toothpaste or something
He also once set me on fire but once again it was for science so it was fine

He did it with a whole bunch of us and he’d also set himself on fire earlier in the lesson so don’t worry we were all even
But like. When you say he set you on fire…?
I mean you can set people on fire and be fine just liek do it right. Or wrong. Depending on ypure point of view
