Where their parents always trash bags? You said that Ro watched them change so what changed them and how where they before?

Roman knew them as decent parents at first- strict but hey most parents are.

He doesn’t know the why they started having moments where they were getting angrier and more snappy and crude. (looking back he honestly doesn’t even care)

But when Logan came around he noticed those moments were more and more frequent. They became lazy in their parenting and would barely give them a pat on the back for doing something good.

Then Patton came and Roman could see they didn’t give a shit anymore and one more kid just meant one more mouth to feed and one more inconvenience. He loathed that he knew they were capable of being decent parents but chose not to.

Soon there was more shouting and more shoving. one thing leads to the next and Roman finds himself comforting his two brother on most nights.

He hates that even after how they treat them his parents still look at him with a hint of smile and a softer voice. He hates that their hands don’t shove him away like Patton or that they listen to him when he talks instead of cutting him off with a bored wave like Logan.

He hates them because he knows they were capable of love but chose to be cruel.
