Maybe the reason Jack isn’t acknowledging what happened last night is because he wants to forget it or it frightens him so much that he doesn’t want to remember it.

I mean, when the phrase “forgotten? or just to afraid to remember” was said by him in Detention we had this:

Remembering any event involving Anti scares the hell out of Jack. Him not recognising what happened during Tranference is his way of trying to keep Anti at bay, to keep him from closing in further, preventing him from being let in any more than he already is.

By showing Jack what happened last night, we’re helping Anti a lot

But… But we can’t stop paying attention!

… It’s a lose-lose situation.
